nasen Effective School Leadership Conference 2015

Friday, 30th, January, 2015

The extensive changes to supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities contained in the Children and Families Act and the new SEND Code of Practice came into effect on 1 September 2014.

Schools will be expected to have clear systems for identification, assessment, monitoring and securing appropriate support for children with special educational needs. The code also requires schools to keep the needs of parents and families at the heart of everything they do, and involve parents in a more structured and systematic way to shape the support their child receives. Schools are also required to be more transparent about what services they can provide.

  • Does your Senior Leadership Team understand the implications of the reforms and know what needs to change in school?
  • Are your teachers aware of the changes and recognise their responsibilities for identifying and supporting pupils with SEN?
  • Do parents have confidence that their child will get the support they need?

Axcis Education is pleased to sponsor nasen’s Effective School Leadership: Meeting the SEND Challenge for Change conference 2015 at Central Hall Westminster on Friday 30th January 2015 which is set to provide positive answers to the above key questions and offer support for meeting the challenge of change which SEND reform brings to school leaders.
