Axcis CPD: Moving and Handling Training (London)

About the Course

Moving and Handling training is suited to those who work with, or wish to work with children or young people with PMLD/physical learning disabilities. The course will demonstrate the use of equipment such as hoists and how to manually lift another person safely.

About the trainer, Sharon Whyte

Sharon Whyte qualified as a nurse in 1986. Sharon has a background in critical care and progressed into teaching where she worked as a Clinical Nurse Tutor. She ultimately took on the role of Business Manager for the Back Care Service at the North Middlesex NHS University Trust where she was responsible for the development of the service providing back care awareness and manual handling training and consultancy advice for several NHS trusts and other organizations.
