Axcis Wales are pleased to offer this CPD seminar on 23rd November 2017. The training will focus on understanding and responding to challenging behaviour and will be run by consultant trainer Peter Owen.

The theme of the presentation will be ‘Positive Behaviour Management’ and Peter will use examples of challenging behaviour to explore their nature and causal factors and then propose strategies for dealing with such behaviour in a school setting.
After 10 years as Head at the Court Special School in Cardiff, Peter Owen escaped at the end of the 2014/15 academic year! Since then he has been undertaking consultancy work in all aspects of behaviour management, together with other areas, in all of which he has considerable experience and expertise. Peter has 35 years’ experience in the BESD sector, both within mainstream and special schools, and across all Key Stages. He is an Estyn Additional Inspector, and he continues to sit on the EWC’s ‘fitness to practise’ committees. Peter is also an accredited ‘Packtypes’ trainer. A veteran recipient of 5 Estyn Inspections, he has sat on ‘both sides of the fence’.
