    Dear Sirs,
I have recently retired and am interested in working with children with special needs as a teachers assistant. However, I do not have any experience in this role as I have been a secretary for the last 20 odd years, can you give me information of what I can do to obtain such a role please.
    With kind regards

    • Hi Carole – supply work is a great route in for someone like yourself because it can offer experience in a range of different schools and give you a great taster for the kind of setting you’d prefer to work in and whether this is the ideal kind of role for yourself. I’d advise having a chat with one of our consultants (Here is a link to our list of offices – http://bit.ly/axcislondon) if you give the one closest to you a ring and explain your situation to them, they’d be happy to talk you through it and explore whether they feel they can assist you. You can alternatively register on our website – it’s free and takes just a few mins – this would give our guys access to more information about you and mean they don’t have to ask you so many questions when you talk. http://bit.ly/axcisreg I hope this helps!
