This training is aimed at people who are new to the UK education system or new to supply work. This includes NQTs (newly qualified teachers), OTTs (overseas trained teachers) and support staff such as teaching assistants and therapists.
This training will help you to develop skills which will be useful while doing supply work. We will offer tips for getting the best out of supply work, behaviour management advice and we will aim to steer you in the right direction regarding your responsibilities and rights when working in a school for an agency. We will also cover the basics of special educational needs and disabilities (SEND) and provide you with further advice regarding training and development to help you succeed in this sector. This training will also give you the opportunity to network with fellow Axcis staff to share ideas and good practice. You will receive a certificate for the training to add to your Continued Professional Development (CPD) file.
