‘Understanding Autism and Behaviour’ is a fantastic new course offered by Axcis that is designed to develop your knowledge of autism and inform and improve your practice so that you feel confident working with autistic students in our schools.
Led by Ashleigh Johnson, Autism Lead at Netley Primary School and Centre for Autism in Euston, the course provides a comprehensive introduction to the autism spectrum and the defining symptoms considered in diagnosis, and introduces a number of strategies for student support, including strategies for managing challenging behaviour. Focusing on individual needs rather than a blanket approach, Ashleigh will guide you through which strategies work best for each element of an autism profile, so that wherever you work, you will be able to give the young people you meet the support they truly deserve.
Please note: Places are limited and as a result, we are unable to confirm your attendance until payment is received. Cost of the seminar is non-refundable and all charges are put towards the running of the event. No profit is generated from Axcis training seminars.
