Axcis Company Day 2018 a great success

Company Day has become a bit of a tradition at Axcis. Each summer, we get all the teams together from across the country for a day of fun and togetherness. Find out all about Company Day 2018 here.

Company Day 2018

Team Axcis enjoyed letting their hair down at our 2018 Company Day in London.

Company Day 2018 was held in London. As it was during the World Cup, our organisers made sure that the venue would have a TV available for the football! Staff came together from every team in every office across the UK for a day of fun and relaxation, as well as celebration of another successful year supporting schools and SEND provisions up and down the country. The day began with a brilliant ice-breaker – a quiz all about fun facts related to our very own staff… Who has 3 kidneys? Who has kissed Gino Di Campo? Who in the company has written and recorded a song? It was great fun and definitely an effective way to get people talking!

Company day is not just about getting together for a few drinks and a bit of fun – it’s also a chance to celebrate our success. This year, lots of staff members were given awards for a host of different reasons. They included; Cassie for the most conversions, Cat was our best all-rounder and Andrew, Holly, Tessa and Rebecca A also won awards for a job well done. Of course, Paul, our illustrious leader also extended his thanks to everyone because it’s team work which keeps us going a the end of the day!

What did our staff have to say about the day?

“The  best part of company day was getting together with the Axcis Family, everyone being on such great form, its nice to meet other branch team members, loved the quiz and was overwhelmed to win vouchers for converting most schools – in fact was over the moon. The food was fab and the location too.  I had the best work do ever, over any other company I had worked for. ”

“I think it’s really important for companies to offer days like this – its always good to see other team members face to face, nice to put faces to names I also think its nice to see the SMT present and I was vey impressed that the MD knew all the names and also where your desk was at.”

“The best part of company day for me was the quiz – it was a fun activity and I’d love to do more of this sort of thing at future events!”

“It’s nice to bring all the offices together and you realise that all offices have the same daily struggles.  Plus meeting the people who support you on a daily basis is lovely as you put a face to a name.”

“The best part of company day was meeting everyone else in the company as you speak on the phone and there is sometimes cross overs between the offices so it is nice to get to know everyone. I think company day is a great way to bring everyone together. It is a good way to celebrate the years success from individuals and the company as a whole. It is a day to celebrate but it is also really motivating for the year ahead.”

Gorgeous girls!

“I really enjoyed the quiz, learning about the other consultants and being in teams with new people from across the company! I think days like this are important because they give you a sense of togetherness. ”

“For me, the best part was the free drinks! And getting to see everyone from the other offices. Also I think it is good to do awards each year to make people feel appreciated. I definitely think things like this are important as we speak to everyone on the phone on a daily basis and only get a chance to meet on company day.”

“Company day is the opportunity for us to all let our hair down and enjoy the success of the year. The best part for me was seeing my colleagues face to face who I speak to on the phone and via email on a daily basis and having a laugh.”

Are they Axcis staff or the latest girl band?

“For me the best part was Pauls speech. I do think its very important especially since we have different offices so a chance to meet everyone and it makes you feel like more of a family than a company.”

“Getting to know colleagues was the best part. It’s important because it’s good to have a good working relationship with staff and it helps establishing that through bonding out of work hours.”
