If the answer is yes to the question above, then read on to find out more about some fantastic positions for which we are currently recruiting.

Axcis has recently started to work with a new client in the Oxford area. Don’t live in Oxford? Don’t fret! This client also happens to run a Bed and Breakfast, and can offer weekday accommodation for just £30 a night!

The school itself is a residential special needs school catering for students aged 11-19 on the autism spectrum. This ranges from those with Asperger Syndrome, to those with more complex autism, as well as some other special needs. Never worked with ASD before? Or a specialist special needs school? Again, don’t disregard these opportunities – at Axcis, we have helped many teachers transition from mainstream teaching to the SEND sector. All you need is a teaching qualification in a relevant subject (in this case Maths, English or ICT), and a willingness to learn how to adapt your teaching for a specialist environment.

Based in beautiful, historic buildings and in a gorgeous countryside setting, the school has much to offer potential new employees. In addition to offering accommodation to those who need it, the school also offer a 23% pension contribution and free, freshly prepared three course meals every day! I used to work in a mainstream secondary school, and we considered ourselves lucky to be offered free tea and biscuits, so this is a fantastic perk!

The Maths and English vacancies are on a full-time basis, whereas the ICT role is part-time. All positions are offering permanent contracts for the right applicants – so there is no need to be concerned about these being agency-based positions if you prefer a more concrete contract.

The school itself has a very holistic approach to education and encourages children to cook and eat healthy meals, as well as offering massage therapy and encouraging independent living. The aim of the school is to equip students with the skills to live productive, independent lives by the time they leave at age 19. It is also backed by a charitable organisation and has royal patrons Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.

If you’d like to be considered for one of these fantastic opportunities, contact Tracey in our Midlands office on 0800 107 0459 or 01216 477386 (local number). It doesn’t matter if you’re not currently registered with us and would just like to discuss one of these positions – Tracey will be happy to talk with you. You can also email her.c
