Last week, Axcis Liverpool and Bristol held behaviour management seminars, both of which were extremely well received. We are very proud of our CPD offerings at Axcis and believe that supply staff should receive access to ongoing professional development in just the same way permanent staff do. Our behaviour management seminars are always very popular as we select leaders in the field to deliver the latest research, practical advice and classroom practice ideas. Last week, our seminars were held by Jane Bannington, ASD Lead Advisory Teacher for Knowsley Council and Tom Pyne, a highly distinguished education practitioner, trainer, advisor, consultant and positive behaviour management specialist.
What did our candidates say?
“Excellent – informative and fascinating”
“Will recommend to others”
“Very clear insights into behaviour”
“Wish it had been longer – there was so much more to hear!”
“Lots to think about and apply to our setting”
“Clearly explained and plenty of opportunity to ask questions”
“Very interesting – could really identify children who I work with who demonstrate some of the behaviour discussed”
“Thank you for organising this! I am going to share with my team as attachment disorder is a big issue for us”
What other CPD training does Axcis offer?
We offer a range of training opportunities at Axcis. Our most popular are autism awareness, Team Teach and behaviour management. We also offer an introduction to Makaton and PECS, and this summer we will be hosting our first manual handling course. For those new to supply, or to the UK education system, our basic induction course is excellent and offers plenty of hints and tips for getting the most out of your supply experience. To keep up to date with our training offerings, keep an eye on our social media pages, and on our events diary.
