This week, our weekly tip comes from Sorcha. Sorcha is a Consultant for Axcis and works in our London office. This means that she works with some of our busiest schools and as such often has day to day work available in the mornings as well as long-term vacancies to fill. Her tip is to make sure you’re set for Sept!

The summer term is a busy time for us all, and it’s easy to focus on the holidays and forget about that job you need in September. At Axcis, we are always busy at this time of the year helping schools to find supply staff ready for September contracts. So don’t leave it until late August or early September to update us on your situation. If you have gained new qualifications or skills, or some fantastic school experience, make sure you update your CV and send it over. You’ll also need to ensure that your consultant is 100% up to date with how many days you want to work in September, along with the locations and types of schools you might consider.

Although you may already feel that your consultant knows all of these things, it never hurts to double-check or send them a quick email to summarise your needs for September. After all, we work with a lot of teachers and support staff who find their situation changing quite regularly so we always appreciate being updated!
